Just imagine: a tinted lip balm that is beautiful, comfortable and AFFORDABLE.
Well, I found one (actually 3) that makes me want to catch ’em all! And get this…they’re by Revlon.
The new-ish Revlon Kiss lip balms are so fun, I’m telling you:
RUN, don’t walk and buy one of every color! =)
You can see my original Revlon Kiss balm review by clicking the link, but I’ll give you a few quick bullet points before the swatches:
- price—very affordable
- shades–flattering and fun
- texture–comfortable balm with a natural shine
- I’m also excited about the light flavors, spf and moisturizing properties
I’m very picky about lip products, even drugstore balms, and I reach for the Revlon Kiss balms multiple times a
So the first shade or flavor is called Crisp Apple and it really does have a yummy tart apple scent!
You can see from my swatch above that I have pigmented, duo-toned lips. They are naturally dark brown and pink.
I love how the Revlon Kiss balms apply almost clear and then within 30 seconds, deepen into a beautiful shade.
There is Crisp Apple on the palm of my hand. I figured, why not show out for my light-skinned ladies?! HAHA Hope it helps a little.
My original Revlon Kiss balms review has swatches on my arm/other side of my hand for reference if you’re interested.
There are the ingredients for Crisp Apple.
Now for Juicy Peach! I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by this swatch…
Light lip colors usually look horrible on me without a lip liner! Juicy Peach is a shade that truly flatters with no effort.
Doesn’t this lip balm look so not-even-there at first? How funny! But the scent is definitely divine immediately.
The scent of Juicy Peach leans sweeter and slightly less fruity than, say, Crisp Apple. Kinda like peach sorbet or candy =)
After using these lip balms for weeks, I am still raving about them so that says a lot. Sometimes, I initially get excited about a product and then the excitement…fades or worse, to put it nicely. ha. Not so with these!
Another thing I like about the Revlon Kiss balm is that there’s shine, but not like a sticky gloss. Just a bit of natural looking moisturized sheen.
Last up is the shade Berry Burst, which has a light and sweet raspberry flavor and scent. By the way, none of the flavor or scent interferes with the taste of my food, so that’s a plus.
Do you like my attempt to swatch this lip balm on my palm? I think it will look wonderful on all skin tones!
I also want to mention that this is 2.6 grams of twist-up product and while it’s already affordable, you can find some shades for even less online!
While I’m telling you to RUN not walk and catch ’em all, I need to take my own advice haha! I hear they may be limited edition!
I really look forward to grabbing Tropical Coconut, Fresh Strawberry, and Sweet Cherry, too.
Usually, Revlon is one of the more expensive drugstore brands, but I truly believe their new Kiss
Balms are a great beauty value.
