Hubby and I had no special plans for Valentine’s Day this year.
We both enjoy being romantic sometimes, but I think every day is Valentine’s Day for us ;]
So I made a nice dinner that he requested (spaghetti and meatballs) and we popped champagne.
He kept hinting that I should go upstairs, so I suspiciously did…and I saw gifts on our bed!
He actually had a dental appointment right before dinner (smart, right?!) and set all this up as a surprise when he came home. Sneaky, sneaky.
Let the record show, I did not get him anything, not even a card.
He really surprised me!
But he didn’t mind; he says his love language is touch and claims mine is gifts HA!
I love that he thought to get me something and his card was very sweet, too.
My favorite part of the night was just talking together.
I love when we can just relax and have a good conversation, no rush, no distractions.
We also thought the meatball recipe I looked up was really good!
I never thought of cooking them in a muffin pan. Genius, as they cook nicely and it’s easy to clean up with less greasy mess.
Any time I want a recipe, I search “Alton Brown +recipe” on Google and he never lets me down! haha
Although I do often skip/replace the bougie ingredients he sometimes includes <_<
So how was your Valentine’s Day this year?
